Savills brought to us one of our favourite challenges yet – giving the people of London Bridge that summer-time feeling.

Alongside a fun packed summer of performances and beach bars, the Marble team were once again asked to take over Hays Galleria, Southwark Crown Court and Green Trees area. This year’s theme was nautical, taking inspiration from the great HMS Belfast. The designs had to be fit to take on the huge footfall of 30,000 per day, and fit in seamlessly with the surrounding bars and activations.

Our main challenge was to make our designs look completely different to last years, while keeping within the specific theme. We went for an organic, beach feel, without any plastic. Our designs included a picnic and performance area in Hays Galleria, with a fun ship wheel, anchors and fishnets for decoration. We also managed to incorporate a real life boat for kids to play on, generating a high volume of user-generated content.
