Asking Marble to return for a second year, the Live Well team were looking for a fresh and refined take on their 3 day health and wellbeing event at Old Billingsgate.

With the event increasing in size, taking on 2 extra floors, but keeping within a tight budget, we embraced the opportunity in executing this task, learning from the feedback of 2019 and drawing on successful designs with a refreshed edge. We focused on the festival’s overall aesthetic and specific features to ensure the space felt on brand, current and engaging.

The result was a recognisable but refined festival aesthetic with engaging and interactive stage sets to draw guests in.

The 4 floors welcomed thousands of visitors to engage and immerse themselves in the Live Well brand, with educational talks from a host of celebrity authors, nutritionists and athletes, including Jonny Wilkinson.

One particular highlight for us was ‘The Retreat’, where guests could join in with classes by the Breath Guy, or immerse in the peaceful sounds of a gong bath. We also designed and produced areas for pre-booked and walk-in yoga classes, boxing workshops and dance classes on the Move It stage with the likes of Dame Kelly Holmes and Groove On Yoga. These areas also created the perfect backdrop for Live Well’s partners and collaborators, which included The Foundry, Yhangry, Bupa, The Refinery, Liz Earle and many more.

With so many of these health and wellbeing festivals, we wanted to place Live Well as a pioneering new event, where our attitude and designs remain a source of inspiration to keep these spaces alive and interactive, rather than a stationery backdrop for brand content and exposure.

By its third year, Fare Healthy had built up a seriously respectable following in the health food sector, and we were asked curate, create, project manage, and produce the Fare Healthy exhibition.

We are long time collaborators with Rose Lloyd-Owen, owner of Fare Healthy and Peardrop. Rose came to us one month before 5,500 delegates descended on the Truman Brewery. They were struggling to physically interpret the brand over such a large space, which consisted of seven distinct areas.

We took on the design, project management, build elements, stages, bespoke build, lighting, audio visual, audio and curation of the project. There were eight distinct areas, which all required their own unique character and practical usability. We turned it round in three weeks and came in £5,000 under budget.

All of the flowers were upcycled as were many of the production elements.
