Graffiti shop window on Coach store

COACH approached us to help bring their out-of-home branded street art campaign to life at their flagship London store on Regent Street.

The PR stunt needed to feature street artist Oker’s spray painted bespoke designs on the front window of the Regent Street store, for 24 hours only.

The Marble team needed to secure permissions with the council, plan and coordinate all logistical elements, and execute the activation with Oker – which needed to take place overnight ready for shoppers and passers-by at 6am. The brief campaign was only going to be live for 24 hours and the shop window needed to be reset that evening.

We worked with the COACH team to turn this round in a short space of time; securing permission from Westminster City Council, Crown Estates, New West End and Regent Street Management Direct all within a few weeks before the installation.

The colourful bespoke Oker art was spray painted onto COACH branded window vinyl, which we created with the signature ‘CC’ print for the 8m x 4.5m window. Oker himself then painted the COACH campaign art on top of this, all in just 4 hours and before 6am, the busiest time on Regent Street.

The vibrant artwork was noticed and shared by hundreds of passers by on one of London’s busiest streets and circulated throughout social media and the press, including an interview with Oker on the installation by the Evening Standard.

In true ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ style, the pop-up installation was live for 24 hours only and the team removed the artwork overnight on that same day.

Marble was approached by Mission Media to assist with the launch event for their client Lulu Lemon, to mark the opening of the American yoga clothing retailer’s Covent Garden flagship store.

The event was held in an enclosed courtyard and in the surrounding Lululemon stores, drawing over 200 guests including celebrities, press and media.

By creating a custom see-through canopy to fit the exact dimensions of the space, we were able to achieve Mission Media’s objective of utilising the courtyard and shielding guests from the weather, yet keeping clear views of the sky.

We also incorporated their request to build a custom aluminium retractable structure to accommodate 800 hanging Ranunculus spanning the entire ceiling of the canopy. This spectacular floral display was designed and produced by the set designer Chloe Rood, who works regularly with Mission Media as well as Fiona Leahy Design. The client praised our ingenuity in finding a solution for the hanging flowers. The event secured press coverage in the Daily Mail the following day, announcing Lululemon’s launch to the UK market, including a notable mention of the floral roof centrepiece.

Boden shop front display

For our sixth time working with Boden, Marble were challenged with the creative development of the Boden in Residence concept including set design and prop styling for Boden’s flagship store on King’s Road, Chelsea.

The brief was to create a larger than life, immersive set build of an artist studio, telling the story behind Boden’s iconic hand drawn designs featuring floral prints, and to weave in a floral layer during the week of Chelsea in Bloom.

With Boden being a long standing client of Marble’s for four years, we understand the brand and were able to work alongside the Boden design team to produce artworks representative of minimal floral studies and designs linked to products currently in store.

We designed and produced a double-faceted window installation and styling elements throughout the shop for Boden’s flagship store on the King’s Road, Chelsea, as part of their Boden in Residence campaign. Despite Boden not entering the inaugural ‘Chelsea in Bloom’ competition, the display still won a Bronze award for best window dressing having garnered the attention of passersby and judges of the competition.

The windows were designed to look like an authentic artist studio to tell the journey of Boden designs through piles of samples, mood boarding, hand painted canvases and folded clothes. We displayed large canvas paintings of florals, smaller floral studies on paper, distressed wooden easels and ladders, and vintage artist props including pallets, paintbrushes and jars, designed to look like the working studio of Boden’s designers. During the Chelsea in Bloom week we weaved a floral layer into the window displays in order to tie into the wider King’s Road aesthetic.

The displays drew the attention of passersby into the store to purchase and Boden even received requests to purchase the paintings in the window displays. Boden plan to auction the paintings for charity at the end of the campaign.

Thanks for all your hard work, we’re really pleased with the results and it’s had a great response!
